Rooted is a very exciting program of First Presbyterian Church in Bellingham, Washington. It unites the congregation, strengthens families, and deepens our understanding of foundational scripture by having the entire congregation study the same Bible passages as a church family.
One way the church has done this is by having the Sunday sermons coincide with the children’s Sunday school lessons. This gives families and friends the opportunity to dig deeper into the Word together.
Another way the church has done this is by creating a congregational wide reading plan where the entire church reads the same text every day. To further discussion between members FPC is hosting a blog where members reflect on that days readings.
You can follow the blog here.
